Find Healing and Growth at Emerald Bloom Therapy

You’re smart, successful, and self-aware—except when it comes to love.

You’ve worked hard to build a beautiful life. You’re independent, driven, and put together. You’ve built a career you’re proud of, have great friends, and are the one everyone else turns to for advice.

But when it comes to relationships? It’s a different story.

You thought you’d be married by now—or at least in a stable, loving relationship—but instead, you’re stuck in a loop of unfulfilling connections, endless overthinking, and anxiety that won’t quit. You keep attracting emotionally unavailable partners, or you find yourself anxiously clinging to people who can’t meet you halfway.

You replay conversations in your head, question what you said or did wrong, and feel crushed when things don’t work out. You tell yourself to move on, to not care so much, but deep down you wonder:
“Why does love feel so hard for me?”

You’re tired of spinning—and ready to feel calm, confident, and in control again.

You’re not asking for too much. You’re asking for connection, safety, and partnership.
But you’re exhausted from dating apps, situationships, and second-guessing yourself.

You want to stop:

  • Obsessing over why someone pulled away or didn’t text back

  • Settling for less than you deserve

  • Silencing your needs to keep the peace

  • Feeling like you’re “too much” or “not enough”

And you want to start:

  • Feeling grounded and secure—no matter what’s happening in your love life

  • Building healthy boundaries without guilt or fear

  • Understanding your patterns so you can finally change them

  • Trusting yourself to choose relationships that actually feel good

If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

I help women like you understand your patterns, heal your attachment wounds, and finally feel secure in love.

My name is Kaleigh Pettis, and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Seattle, WA (but see clients virtually across Washington). I specialize in helping high-achieving women who feel anxious, stuck, and overwhelmed in their relationships—especially when it comes to dating and love.

You might feel confident in every other area of your life, but relationships are where all your insecurities seem to surface. You overthink, overgive, and overanalyze—because somewhere along the way, you learned that love wasn’t safe unless you earned it.

But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

Together, we’ll uncover the deeper patterns driving your anxiety and self-doubt—often rooted in early attachment experiences and protective coping strategies that once kept you safe but now hold you back.

My approach blends attachment theory, psychodynamic insight, and mindfulness-based therapy to help you:

  • Understand the roots of your relationship anxiety

  • Heal the parts of you that learned love and safety had to be earned

  • Develop emotional regulation and self-trust

  • Set healthy boundaries that protect your peace

  • Build relationships that feel secure, mutual, and fulfilling

You don’t have to keep white-knuckling it through love. Therapy can help you create lasting change from the inside out.

You’re not broken. You’ve just been surviving.

When you’ve spent years questioning your worth, it’s easy to believe something’s wrong with you.
But your patterns—overthinking, people-pleasing, avoiding conflict—aren’t flaws.
They’re strategies you learned to feel safe.

In therapy, we’ll work gently and collaboratively to understand these patterns, not judge them. You’ll begin to reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been silenced by anxiety and fear, and learn new ways to relate—with yourself and others—that feel grounded, calm, and authentic.

This isn’t just about finding a relationship.
It’s about becoming the version of yourself who feels secure, worthy, and whole—whether or not you’re in one.

What therapy with me feels like

Working with me isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level advice. It’s a process of deep, compassionate self-understanding. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can be fully yourself—messy, anxious, uncertain, and human.

Together, we’ll slow down and make sense of your inner world. You’ll start to see your story differently—to understand why you do what you do in love, and how to begin choosing differently. Over time, your anxious thoughts quiet, your confidence grows, and relationships begin to feel easier, lighter, and more aligned.

My clients often say things like:

“I finally understand myself.”
“I don’t spiral like I used to.”
“I actually feel calm in dating for the first time ever.”
This kind of healing is possible for you, too.
